At seven years old, I declared my decision to become a veterinarian. Approximately twenty-three years later, after receiving a Bachelor's degree from Cornell University in Animal Science and a Master's degree from Oakland University in Biological Science, I finally walked across the commencement stage to receive my DVM from Michigan State University in May 2001. What a great day!

In general, animals' resilience never ceases to amaze me. To me, cats are especially phenomenal creatures.  Cats are unique both medically and emotionally and deserve specialized care oriented to their special needs. I concentrate the majority of my practice to their health and well being.  I am a board-certified specialist in Feline Practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.  I am interested in both routine and complex medical and surgical feline cases.

Though I am a feline specialist, I also have an interest in orthopedics in both feline and canine patients.  I have spent a great deal of time developing skill in invasive and non-invasive fracture repair, TPLO, extra capsular cruciate repair, and patellar surgery. As well, I am both interested and skilled in advanced diagnostic imaging modalities such as  ultrasound, echocardiography, endoscopy and rhinoscopy.

I derive great satisfaction from my strong relationships with clients and their pets.  I strive to be accessible, even on my days off.  To me, being a veterinarian is an honor.
