I graduated from University of California at Davis in 1987. I was originally interested in general small animal practice but by chance ended up doing mostly late night shifts and found I loved the challenge of emergency medicine and surgery. I've worked at Adobe Animal Hospital since 1995 and have been able to blend the excitement of emergencies with the opportunity to develop a clientele and follow patients from birth (sometimes by caesarean in the middle of the night!) through to adulthood.

I have 4 pets - I have 4 pets - Bart the budgie, Rebar and Tiki the cats, and Dexter the horse.

I love traveling – my favorite trips have been a horse-back riding vacation in Ireland and a tour of China including a cruise on the Yangtze River.
