I was born and raised in Ventura, California. I have wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as I can remember. When I graduated high school, I moved on to UC Davis for my undergraduate work in hopes of accomplishing my dream of becoming a veterinarian. I obtained by B.S. in Animal Science at Davis in 1994 and went on to attend veterinary school there. After graduation in 2000, I married my long-time college sweetheart and moved to San Francisco where he was attending graduate school.
Prior to coming to Adobe, I worked at the San Francisco SPCA Animal Hospital for 3 1/2 years. I learned a lot at the SPCA, made many good friends there, as well as acquired two little dogs, who came to us with broken legs and ended up becoming permanent members of our family. I joined the Adobe staff in April 2004. I really enjoy working at Adobe with both the challenges and rewards of working in such a busy hospital. I enjoy all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery, but i am particularly interested in ultrasonography and feline medicine.
When I am not at Adobe, I can generally be found spending time with my family which consists of my husband, our son Tim, and our menagerie of pets. In our spare time we enjoy going to sporting events, hiking, camping, and being with friends and family. I have also enjoyed participating in the canine sport of Agility, both with my old dogs who have passed away (RIP Cricket & Meka) and with our Aussie mix, Kodiak.
