I was born and raised in San Jose, and am glad to be back in the Bay Area after many years!  I have always had a passion for animals.  I grew up with a variety of pets, including hamsters, rats, turtles, and a Senegal parrot, Mimi, who is still part of my family after over 20 years. During college, I spent much of my time at the local animal shelter, became very passionate about fostering guinea pigs, and started working at an animal hospital with a focus on rabbits.  After college graduation, I moved back to the Bay Area and worked at a veterinary emergency practice in San Francisco. I was then accepted into the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where I studied with special interests in companion exotic animals and integrative medicine. After graduating from veterinary school, I stayed in the Sacramento region and practiced at a general practice for several years before my husband and I decided to move back to San Jose. We now live with two dogs, Balto (German Shepherd/Husky) and Hargow (Chihuahua/poodle). In my spare time, I love to go camping, roller skate, and plan road trips.
