Endoscopy
Veterinary endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that we use for diagnosing and treating various health issues in pets.

It involves carefully inserting a rigid or flexible tube into a body cavity while the animal is under general anesthesia. Gastrointestinal endoscopy is the most common use of this tool and it allows veterinarians to examine the inner linings of an animal’s esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and colon. There are other forms of endoscopy which can be used to evaluate the lungs (bronchoscopy) and the nose (rhinoscopy). With this tool we are able to take pictures & videos, collect biopsy samples, identify tumors, and remove foreign objects. Unlike exploratory surgery, your pet experiences minimal discomfort and can go home the same day following an endoscopic procedure.
At our Los Altos location, we offer upper and lower GI endoscopy and rhinoscopy on select days of the week. At our South Bay location, we offer the same services in addition to bronchoscopy on select days of the week. If you have questions about our endoscopy services, please contact us at (650) 948-9661, and ask to speak with a member of our surgery scheduling team.
NOTE: We can not schedule surgeries for a patient that has not had a regular office visit within the previous 12 months.
