I grew up in New York City. After graduating from veterinary school in 2002, I returned to New York for an incredibly intense year as an intern in small animal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center and two similarly intense years working in an Emergency practice near Boston. I moved to California in 2005 and worked in a variety of day practices and for the San Jose shelter before finding Adobe when my own cat needed urgent medical attention.
I was hired at Adobe in 2008 as a relief veterinarian to help with the increasing numbers of urgent care cases and came on full time in 2010. Since 2008, Adobe has grown from a 10-15 doctor practice crammed into a converted house to a 20 doctor modern hospital with a satellite day practice in Los Gatos. We now have up to 2 urgent care doctors scheduled throughout the day to accommodate the several hundred urgent care cases we see every month. We are participating in a clinical trial and have established a mentorship and training program for recently graduated veterinarians. We've all seen many changes in the community and profession in the last 15 years. Adobe has evolved to serve the changing needs of the community, continues to provide great patient care and remains a wonderful place to be a veterinarian.
When not on duty, I like to sing and play viola in community music groups, travel and explore local trails.
