I am a Bay Area native who grew up in East Oakland and attended the same middle and high school as Tom Hanks! Raised in a low-income community, I often witnessed animals in poor health and welfare in my neighborhood. From an early age, I had the strong desire to educate and to provide resources to owners so they can be the best caretakers they can be for their furry (and non-furry) loved ones. As a child, I was not aware of the veterinary profession and initially wanted to be a farmer since they were pictured as the guardian of animals in storybooks.
Eventually, I learned about a career in veterinary medicine and the important roles veterinarians uphold. From there, I attended UC Berkeley where I graduated with a major in Integrative Biology and then took time off school to gain experience as a veterinary technician before attending UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine for my DVM degree.
I am happy to return to the Bay Area and am grateful for my position at Adobe Animal Hospital where I can continue to expand my passion in educating owners and in providing high quality care to my patients. At Adobe, I am fortunate to be part of a nurturing culture of dedicated individuals who work collaboratively, encourage each other to be our best selves, and value lifelong learning.
Outside of work, you can find me cooking and trying new food, baking an assortment of bread and treats with my sourdough starter, doing Zumba, discovering new jogging trails, and spending time with my family.
I am excited to meet you and your loved companions!
