What To Expect

Appointment Information


Please contact our chat operators or call our hospital to schedule an appointment for either of our locations.  At this time we do not offer online appointment scheduling except for video visits.

For your first visit, you will be asked to complete a new patient registration form. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time for this before your appointment. Alternatively, you can print the form, complete it at home, and bring it in with you to your appointment.

Please note, we are only accepting new clients if your pet is having an emergency.  We are not scheduling new client exams right now so our team can dedicate their time to our current clients and patients.


Los Altos 7:00am – 7:00pm everyday

Los Gatos 8am-6pm Mon-Sat

*Please consider making annuals several weeks in advance so we have more open appointments for patients that suddenly come down with things. Also, make sure your annual is up to date so you can use our video visit services (coming soon!) and get medication refills, when you are in a hurry!


If clients are 15 min or more late for their appointment, we can either reschedule you for another regular scheduled appointment or our urgent care doctors can see (urgent care fee will apply).  Please check in with the front desk when you arrive and they can let you know the fees.


Los Altos: 24 hours a day and 365 days a year

Los Gatos: Currently is not taking emergencies


Technician appointments are available 8:00am – 6:00pm during our normal business days for medical procedures such as drawing blood for tests your pet’s doctor has recommended, helping with giving medication and subcutaneous fluids or assistance in giving medications.  Please call to make an appointment so we we can do our best to help in a timely manner.


We are happy to help you with your domestic and international Health Certificates.  We ask that you schedule these in advance and please be sure you are aware of and meeting all pet travel requirements by visiting: www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/pet-travel and checking with your airline.


Los Altos: 8:00am – 9:00pm Monday – Sunday

Thank you for entrusting us with your pets surgical and dental therapy needs. You may submit a surgical or dental therapy request by filling out the form below, contacting us via email at surgery@adobe-animal.com or calling (650) 948-9661 and asking the operator to connect you with our surgery coordinator. Please allow up to 72 hours for a response for elective surgical procedures and up to 10 days for dental therapy request. To help expedite the process please let us know your name, pets name, surgery you would like to schedule and if you have a preferred date or doctor.  Please note that our dental therapy appointments do book 1-2 months out in advance.

NOTE: We can not schedule surgeries for a patient that has not had a regular office visit within the previous six months.
